The FPIC Solutions Dialogue is a multi-sector initiative helping communities and companies work together to implement free, prior, and informed consent in community processes relating to mining, oil, and gas projects.

Since its launch in 2012, the Dialogue has brought together civil society, indigenous representatives, and business for candid discussions of site-based experiences, common challenges, lessons learned, promising approaches, and advice. This has resulted in several shared insights and guidance about good practices supporting implementation of FPIC principles.

The Panduan PADIATAPA is an effort to share those collective insights more broadly. It seeks to help companies and communities recognize where gaps in understanding or communication may be present, and offer insights, prompts, and resources to inform a constructive consent process suited to the unique needs of the rights-holders and stakeholders involved.
